Abstract

The application of sharia principles in human resource management (HRM) has become a strategic requirement for sharia financial institutions in maintaining the consistency of Islamic values while improving organizational performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of sharia-based HRM implementation, which includes sharia recruitment, sharia training, fair compensation, and islamic performance appraisal, on employee performance at Islamic Banks in Indonesia. The research method used is quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis approach. Data were collected from 150 Islamic Bank employees selected by purposive sampling through a Likert scale 1-5 questionnaire. The results indicate that the four sharia-based HRM variables have a positive and significant effect on employee performance with an R² value of 0.679 or 67.9%. The sharia training variable has the dominant influence on employee performance. This research implies the need for sustainable strengthening of HRM practices in accordance with sharia principles.
